Only seen the gifs from uselesssuperhero re last night’s show but here’s my thoughts on that kiss …..
1 - was that it?! Why the frick are some Wemma fans going mad?! It wasn’t as if Emma kissed him back or anything! If that’s they nearest that Wemma are getting to infidelity, then we’re laughing
2 - it totally lacked any umph. You want a kiss filled with passion and longing? Will & Emma at the end of sectionals. You want a kiss filled with desire and lust? Will & Emma at the end of the Spanish Teacher. This was nothing. End of. Plus given the fact we’ve now seen the hottest smooch in the history of TV (I’m looking at you Nick & Jess from New Girl - WOW), everything else just seems a bit tame. Frankly, it only just registered on the bottom end of the kiss scale - if you think that was anything special, then I worry about the fact you’ve clearly never been kissed properly.
3 - Carrying on from the point above, I (and probably most of you) would kiss the stuffing out of Emma Pillsbury if we had the chance. She is amazing. As is Jayma. Fact. Finn wasted his chance basically.
4 - I am SO DAMN HAPPY that the writers are remembering that Emma has OCD and would completely freak the shit out at something so stressful as wedding planning, especially if you were doing it on your own. Jayma owns the damn show when she gets a chance to do the OCD stuff. Bravo. Given the plaudits and critical acclaim she’s getting for this (along with her performance back in Born This Way), I struggle to understand why RIB don’t do more with Emma’s mental illness storyline cus it needs to be discussed, and Jayma could break down a lot of stigma and taboos with her talent. Actually I do know why and it’s because RIB don’t want to piss Lea off by letting someone else get the kudos and respect for clearly being the best female actress on the show.
5 - The ‘Get Over It’ comment from the promo is AMAZING. Why hello there Miss-Angry-Emma-Pillsbury. We haven’t seen much of you around here, which is a shame cus you clearly take no shit from anyone madam. Please stay longer this time
6 - Possibly the most important point though is this. Make the most of this fellow Wemma shippers. Seriously. Cus once this wedding storyline is done and dusted at the end of episode 15, we are going to get next to fuck all Wemma for the rest of the season. I’d be surprised if Emma even crops up in more than 1 show before the finale in May. This is all we’re going to get, so lets buckle up and enjoy the ride.
I genuinely cannot wait for the next 2 shows and all the AMAZING they will bring. And this is even with the realisation that ‘I Do’ is clearly written to be more about the kids than Will & Emma. I’ll take what I can get nowadays. In fact, I might go as far as watching a whole episode for the first time in months ;-)
